Track Control

Channel Strip module

Channel strip module is focused to the slected track in the live set and  allows you to control mixer and device parameters. It is completely customizable and depending on the configuration can greatly improve your workflow. There are 32 dials and 16 buttons at your disposal.  Bind any mixer or device parameter by its name to the dial or the button  and just by selecting a track a dial will be automapped to the binded parameter in selected track. If there is no binded device in the selected track the dial is temporary disabled until the track with a binded device is selected. The greatest advantages will be obtained with devices which you use frequently, like EQ8, Compressors, AutoFilter etc. because you’ll have an instant access to these devices just by selecting a track. You can turn your controller into a real channel strip, and moreover you can choose which devices you want to have under control.

There are four banks at the disposal. In each bank can be stored different settings (devices and parameters ). As bank buttons are also midi mappable, you can set up four diferent configuration and have all under your fingertips.. For example you coud use first bank for classic channel strip control with EQ, Compressor, Gate …, second for VST/AU synth which one you use most often and so on. The possibilities are almost endless.

You can use all native Live devices as well as VST/AU devices and Racks or Custom Racks. Module will scan all device names in the chain every time when you select the track. No matter where is  the binded device in the chain. If you add two or more binded devices to the track, you’ll have control just on the first one. For example, if you have two or more EQ Eight in the chain, you will have control of only of the first EQ Eight. For other EQ's you can use device mode. Mixer parameters are also available for binding to the dials and buttons. You can use volume, panning and 8 send parameters just with dials while Mute, Solo and Arm parameters works only with buttons.

Device Mode - In order to work, you need to insert "Device Control 32" module to the LIve set. Channel strip module works as remote control of Device control 32 module. There is a LED indicator that shows you that the device control module is  connected. If you have configured Device 32 module, you will have control of the same parameters like in Device module. Buttons takes control of Device On/Off, Prev/Next device and parameter group control. Advantage of device mode is that you can use the same encoders for channel strip and for the device control..

Mixer module

Simple device that controls Mixer parameters. Dials are automaped to the Volume, Pan and 8 Send parameters of curently selected track.  It gives you an option to map additional encoders to the mixer pararmeters, having separated from channel strip module.Use midi map function in Ableton Live and map your encoders to the dials and you are ready to go.

Two additional dials ( Gain and Stereo ) are automapped to the Live native Utility device if it's loaded to the selected track.Otherwise dials are disabled until you select a track with the Utility device in the chain. In midi map mode you can adjust min. &  max. values from -5db to 5db for fine volume / gain control.
